Played against a newly-formed tigers outfit, Dunscroft approached this game in confident mood. The Blues began the match on top and an early opportunity to take the lead was spurned. The Blues forwards led the line well in the first half, while the midfield played well and controlled possession. The defence and ‘keeper had little to do in a first half that was dominated by the Blues, who wasted several good chances after good approach play. The second half saw a few substitutions in an attempt to take advantage of Dunscroft's domination, but the tigers gained in confidence and had more of the possession. As the game looked like it was going to end in stalemate, Ethan Hedley scored after a fantastic passing move. Dunscroft had more chances to put the game beyond Balby, but as the tigers pushed forward and started to pass the ball about, they duly found just reward when a two-on-one break ended up with the tigers forward blasting through the Blues keeper to level the scores and end the match at 1-1. Ethan Hedley was named man of the match for the Blues.
