Dunscroft Unites Allotment project
Dunscroft Unite have now secured an allotment plot on the newly formed Oval Allotments Association. The vision is to provide an allotment plot for community use, initially inviting local schools to get involved in the project. Dunsville Primary School and Sheep Dip Lane Primary School have registered their interest in this. This project will aim to address health inequalities and reinforce the importance of a diet rich in fruit and vegetables by getting children to become actively involved in growing them. The plot requires extensive clearence of rubble and concrete to allow for renovation. The plan and scope of the work is to include raised beds, a secure outshed, tools for community use and work to make the plot accessible. Plans for the plot are at the Dunscroft Unite Offices.
