Dunscroft Unite

CHAMPIONS!!

'Over the Easter weekend, Dunscroft Welfare Blues under 9's football team entered the Great Yarmouth cup, competing against teams of the same age group from different parts of the country in a seven-a-side tournament. The team played five group matches, winning all of them, scoring ten goals and conceding only two. They had three matches on Saturday, winning 2-0, 3-2 and 3-0. On Sunday, they won their remaining group games both 1-0. On winning the group, Dunscroft Welfare Blues then played a local team Jex Rangers in the final winning 3-1 and securing the cup, which was presented by former England and Arsenal star Paul Merson. Every one of the players worked hard and contributed to the success of the team, and the manager Steve Gill was very proud of them all. Dunscroft can be proud of the Blues who represented the village and the town in a fair and true sporting manner'.
