Anti-Social Behaviour can create an environment in which crime can take hold and the Council are committed to working with local agencies to tackle this problem. It causes real misery for people who simply want to get on with their lives.

'Everyday' problems like noise, children or lifestyle differences can usually be sorted out by mediation if both parties agree. In more serious cases where there are threats or violence - or if people cannot agree to mediation, the Anti-Social Behaviour Team will take action to deal with the problem.

Dunscroft Unite in Conjunction with South Yorkshire Police, Community First and Environmental Health held a public meeting tackling the issue of anti - social behviour and giving people the chance to get advice from a range of professional operating within the field on the 27th June 2006. Discussions took place around, noise levels, individual complaints and the support and advice thats is offered from both the Police and DMBC. The meeting was very well attended and it is hoped that people who came learnt alot more about the help that is available to them.
